Keep on Trying
Dear friend,
I know you're trying. For the past year, with this pandemic, that's exactly what we've been doing. We not be exactly in the same boat, but we are trying to survive the same storm.
It's been tough. I know a lot of you have dealt with death. Many of you have dealt with sickness, COVID and/or not, and may be still suffering from lingering effects. We have financial stress, especially those who have lost their jobs or lost wages while trying to support yourself and your families. It's been hard, and there are so many ways we've struggled similarly, and so many ways we've done so uniquely. No matter what, we've been trying. I know you're trying.
Trying is what we have to do. We can't afford to give up. We can't give in to hopelessness.
I know it's tempting to give in. If you're surrounded by cynicism, why bother trying? You know in your heart and soul that you can't. If you do, a piece of yourself dies, and you won't let that happen.
So today, and every day, you've got to keep trying. Try to hold onto hope. Try to make it through today, no matter what. The mere fact that you're trying makes all the difference.
Take care and stay safe.
Sincerely,
Rod
