This Pandemic Won't Last Forever

This Pandemic Won't Last Forever

For me, March 13th was when my lifestyle drastically changed. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I (like many people around the world) had to stay home for the sake of public health. It's been difficult, challenging, and as of right now, manageable.

I've been able to get by. Even though I don't have access to everything I want, I do have everything I need. Everything else on top of that is a luxury.

There are numerous things I miss about life before lockdown. I really miss hanging out with my friends. I miss going out to restaurants, movies, and going to events. Sometimes I feel isolated. At other times, feelings of powerlessness get the best of me.

As hard as all this is, I know I will endure. In time, this pandemic will pass. Who knows how long it will take, but it will eventually pass.

Our world may not return to the way it worked before COVID-19. We could be living in a world of new norms, new lifestyles, and a whole new set of social etiquette. Our future could be better or worse depending on what goes on now.

It has been a trying past two months, but in my heart, I hold onto the notion that this pandemic will not be forever. It may be long, tiring, and seemingly never-ending, but I know deep down in my core, that in time, we will make it through this.
