What Makes You, You?
What makes you, you? Why makes you who you are? What makes you unique? If I were to ask some of your close friends to describe you, what would they say?
Your qualities help make you, you. Which of your virtues shine more than others? Are you genuine, kind, or compassionate? Are you athletic, steadfast, or clever? What are the aspects of your personality that people love about you? These are your strengths. What motivates you? These traits are a part of you, but not the entire picture.
Your experiences also help make you, you. All your experiences that you've built up throughout your while life has helped shape who you are. These experiences may have given you knowledge about life and lessons on how to navigate through it. No one else has your unique set of experiences than you. Your perspective also helps make you, you. The way you see life and interpret it is unlike anyone else. It's influenced by both your qualities and your experiences.
Your perspective helps determine how you interact with all aspects of your life. Do you see certain things as significant or unimportant? What do you prioritize in your life? What are your goals? What kind of life do you consider satisfactory?
All these factors help make you who you are. They are a part of you. Embrace them. Years from now, you may not be the same as you are now, and that's okay. With time, hopefully you will continue to grow and develop professionally and personally.
