You're a Lot Tougher Than You Think You Are

Hello there, my friend.

I know it’s been a crazy past few days. If you feel jaded, unmotivated, or helpless, I want you to know that it's okay. You're human. You're allowed to feel that way sometimes.

But hopefully this is just temporary. You can, and you will, overcome this.

Remember:

  • You are brave enough to face this.

  • You are strong enough to overcome this.

  • You are brilliant and it's time to show it.

One student I had in the past thought he'd never graduate from high school. Whenever I talked about his options after high school, he would look down and say something like, "if I ever graduate..." We immediately talked about it and I appreciated his honesty. After a lot of hard work, he finally graduated. I was so proud to see him walk across the stage at his ceremony. Even more so, I was proud that he accomplished something that he previously thought he never would. He overcame challenges he never had to face before. He did it, and so can you. 

You are a lot tougher than you think you are. Human resiliency is always surprising. You've got this.
