You Can Only Grow If You Make Positive Changes

You Can Only Grow If You Make Positive Changes

In any stage in life, it’s easy to be stagnant. It’s easy to get into the same old routine and keep it that way for a while. It’s also easy to settle for what you already have, or what other people think you should have.

If you’re already working to build a better life for yourself, that’s great. Keep doing it. Hold onto your dreams and keep on going.

On the flip side, if you’re feeling bored with life, I hope that you want to make a change. The good news is, it’s never too late to make a change (even if you’re as old as dirt). You always have the opportunity to choose to take action that sparks a change in your life.

Keep in mind, not all change is good. Change can be a bad thing if it doesn’t improve your quality of life in the long run. There may be a time of temporary struggle, like feeling sore or out of your comfort zone when you start working out regularly instead of sitting on the couch and binge watching TV for hours when you get home. For the first few days and weeks, it’s going to feel really tough, you’ll feel like quitting, and maybe try to lie to yourself that going back to your old life isn’t too bad. If you keep up with it, it will become a habit, more importantly, a good habit that produces positive outcomes in your life.

That’s a good change; it’s different than change that lowers your quality of life in the long run.

Change can be good if you make smart decisions to better yourself and put in the time and effort to commit to your goals. Change can be bad if you give up on something that can improve your life or do something that leads you down a downward spiral.

The key is knowing the difference between a good and a bad change. It’s a skill that you develop over time with life experience.
