Things Don’t Get Better Automatically
If you’re in a rut, I want you to know that it can get better. Sometimes bad things happen; it’s a natural part of life. You may be dealing with a loss, struggling with health, or struggling financially. Whatever your situation may be, it might get better on its own, but it’s highly unlikely unless some kind of intervention happens.
Your situation won’t get better until you (or someone else) does something to make it better. In other words, things don’t get better of nothing changes. If you’re feeling lonely, you either have to reach out to someone or someone has to reach out to you. If you’re feeling burnt-out, you’ll either have to take some time for yourself or someone has to directly tell you that you need to take time for yourself. And if you’re confronted with a problem, you either need to take care of it, or someone is going to have to help you in order for it to get any better.
In most situations, you need to be proactive. You need to know what action you need to take and make a decision to do it. It’s your life and you are always in the center of your circumstances. You are the key in making things better or worse. Make it better.
