Something to be Thankful for: Journaling
Every day, I try to journal. I may not always do it, but I try. When I do, it’s my mental release in the morning. I enjoy the experience of having 10-30 minutes of time to put my innermost thoughts on paper.
I like to write about my day, how I’m feeling, or whatever is on my mind. At the end of each session, I’m usually left with a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. I’m not concerned about the quality or quantity of my writing, but rather how I feel during journaling and afterward. For me, it’s all about the experience.
Journaling is simple. It can be done with a pen and paper, a smartphone, or a computer. I prefer using pen and paper (usually in some kind of blank notebook); it doesn’t need to be fancy. It an easy and simple way to get grounded, and for that I am grateful.
